This is a similar structure to the previous example (#1), but it was addressed to corporate clients. Version #1 was addressed to individual clients—folks who hired us themselves. This version is shorter, and more business-oriented.
#1: the "Guide to Outplacement" basically tells companies when, why, and how to hire us. It's informational, but with a purpose.
#2: We passed a milestone (our 75th corporate client) and announced it, but also said the world's largest oilfield service corporation had hired us exclusively. It's a grand-slam home run for a small company to land a global account.
#3: I had written two articles for prominent publications. I named them and enclosed copies of both.
#4: I gave a heads-up on an office move to a "retreat-like setting," very much in keeping with our "small, personal" brand.
#5: I remind them of our team members' names and wish them a happy, restful summer.

I've just written an article for "The Denver Business Journal" called "Costly outplacement mistakes can hinder downsizing efforts," (June 28-July 4 issue), and another piece for "Colorado Business" magazine called "25 Hot Tips for Managing Your Career." One is enclosed today; the other will follow.
At CareerLab we've just passed a milestone, having worked for our 75th major U.S. corporation. This week, World Oilfield Service Corporation, the world's largest oilfield service company told me they've used several other outplacement firms in the past-but now use us exclusively. That's a big compliment, especially since they're located out of state. In addition, our outplacement program and career center for 70 Leatham Corporation employees just ended successfully.
In mid-September we'll be moving our main office to Panorama Falls near Dry Creek and I-25. Located in a retreat-like setting, it's an ideal environment to rethink one's career. (Our branch offices in Colorado Springs and downtown Denver will remain open, and out telephone numbers won't change.)
