Norman Newton has joined McDATA Corporation as Vice President of Manufacturing. In this capacity, Newton will be responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations for McDATA's network communication product lines. Prior to joining McDATA, Newton worked for Samsonite Corporation as Vice President of Operations. Other positions at Samsonite included Director of Special Projects and General Manager of the El Paso/Juarez operations. Newton has also worked for Atari Inc. as Managing Director of European Operations. Newton brings 25 years' experience in managing industrial manufacturing operations to McDATA Corporation.
