The image of Alexandria's stimulating and historic environment caught my imagination when I read about your Director of Planning position in the January career opportunities listing of the Society of Healthcare Planning and Marketing.

I currently hold the position of Director of Marketing at Longmont hospital--a national specialty medical center--which has no planning department, per se. Therefore, institutional planning has, for the most part, been carried out on the basis of market analyses conducted by me and my staff.

This, in addition to my other qualifications, makes me particularly well-suited to your opening. Over the past 16 years I have worked in several progressively more responsible positions within health care. In each position I enjoyed and performed best in the areas of planning and program development.

May I please know more about Alexandria Hospital and its mission? About who the position reports to, and the corporate structure of the hospital? And also the relationship between planning, marketing, and public affairs?
